Fantastic service, friendly people, and the food is outstanding! Best ribs I've ever had the pleasure of eating! BBQ'd beef is excellent! If you haven't given this great little place a try, you are missing out!

Let's get this out of the way. No one really comes here for the iceberg lettuce salads, or the small glasses (/w no free refills on pop/soda). They still don't take credit cards here, which is understandable as it can be expensive for small businesses. You don't come for the plastic plates the food is served it (It used to be paper boats until recently!), nor the drab decorations and furniture in the building itself. You come for the ribs and chicken....and it's worth it.
I've eaten at a lot of "Famous for Ribs" places in my lifetime, and most are over-hyped and overpriced. The New Riegel Cafe can't be beat, the ribs are beyond compare and the price is more than fair.

There are very few places that offer such large, meaty, juicy ribs that fall off the bone like the New Riegel Cafe...and even fewer that offer them at such a reasonable price. The sauce is completely unique, it's not store bought BBQ junk in a bottle, it's a garlic based blend of tangy deliciousness that is not found anywhere else. The ribs are slow cooked, and they're both meaty and scrumptious...these aren't the small spare ribs that other joints have. At about $11 for a regular order of ribs and fries, you can't go wrong. In my opinion they're best with extra sauce, and put a little on your fries too. The fries go well with the sauce.

I really love this little restaurant. Best ribs, very meaty. Nice atmosphere and plenty of seating. Also has a gift shop.
